Watch Saberg try and dig himself out of his hole. Federer won little post Wimbledon, just when Nadal stopped playing - Saberg should actually watch some tennis before making silly statements.

Re: Your expectations for Federer in 2013.
Wimbledon was overrated the last decade. Replace Nadal in Roddick's matches and Federina won't convince himself that he "dominated the tour". The smug Fed said he dominated tennis for 5 months since October 2011. LMAO

He broke the record, I couldn't care less about the n1 anymore and I'm sure u will find a lot of fed fans who will agree.
Fed should play for fun and for the slams.
Even if he won't win a title again I'm still happy, 17 slams, weeks at n1.
Can't get any better then this.
Maybe the ranking will matter more to nole fans, maybe they want him to pass rafa in the weeks as n1, don't know

So how many times has Djokovic aka the spartan warrior retired during a match?

Correct. I doubt his goal is number 1 at this point. He broke that record already. If i had to guess, what he wants more than anything is one more Wimbledon title to break his tie with Pete. Poor Pete, Fed's goals have always seemed aimed at breaking his records and he's done so in pretty much every way. His reduced schedule for the year tells you right there he's not chasing number one. He has other goals in mind.

Sighing wearily.
I suspect you're not really serious here, nor in the majority of your posts related to Federer.
But let's suppose for a moment you are. If we replace Roddick with Nadal at Wimbledon in matches against Federer then he would have contested the 2004 and 2005 Wimbledon final. Based on what we know of Nadal's ability on grass vs Federer's ability on grass in those years, you would struggle to make a case that Nadal would have won these finals.
In 2009, perhaps you could make a case that Nadal might have beaten Federer in the final, although the fact he was injured then might have precluded him playing his best (?). Nadal tends to lose when he's injured, some people say.
Based on the above, not really sure what your point is. Federer would still have dominated Wimbledon in the last decade.

i think all of us knows its the best for him, why running for the n1 spot if u have that record? he is not in his mid 20's.
i think he is doing the Smartest choice for him, focus on the slams, MS and YEC.
of course he will try to keep himself inside the top 4 and i have a feeling he will do so.
