Nadal OUT of the Australian Open

JUST IN - official. Rafa Nadal is out of the Australian Open due to stomach virus.

From the camp : Rafa Nadal will not play DOHA & MELBOURNE... a stomach virus makes him stop his rehabilitation and thinks in the new season
Other tennis folk on twiter are saying it too.
Made a new topic as it is big news, merge it in a few hours.
This can't be just from a virus... this smells like a cover up

This is crazy. I refuse to believe that. It is too early to withdraw from the AO.
edit: Wow, this is sad. 
He is not going to comeback until the clay season, most likely.

if it's really what they will announce, now Nadal's team should clearly hold a press conference because there will be plenty of rumours ... they should hold a conference to counter crazy things.

Apparently aiming to return in Acapulco.
Maybe a questionmark over playing IW/Miami? Switching to hard for two events, then going back to clay, possibly not helpful.
