Re: Ask the board Thread
I wish there was a thread to compliment the game managers in, but since there isn't and I didn't know how the Board would feel about me posting it in here. I did a PM to the game manager.

Re: Ask the board Thread
If you can compliment managers in their own threads.
This is for queries/questions to the Board only

Re: Ask the board Thread
When will we know whether there are some changes in rules for the new TT season?

Re: Ask the board Thread
Can players who had a bye in their first round be replaced by an alternate/LL if they don't send for their first match?
(In Noumea I had 9 players for qualies, so there was only one match in the first round of qualies, 7 players had a bye. Two of these 7 players didn't send for the final of qualies, one alternate did).

The Rules are :-
Round 1 lucky losers (Main draw and qualifying)
When both players/teams in a match fail to send picks AND there are no alternates or lucky losers to replace them, the loser with best score in this round will take their spot in the following round as a lucky loser. This rule is valid only in first rounds (main draw or qualifying).
* When the first and the second round (qualifying or main draw) are played on the same day, the loser with the best score in the first round will take the spot of a player/team which receives a bye to the second round but fails to send picks.
As the second round is the second day of the event - the 1st round winners with byes didn't have to send picks for the first round and are automatically in the 2nd round, so there cannot be any replacements made as the rule above only applies to 1st rounds.

Re: Ask the board Thread
lets say I start AO qualies and I lose in R3- I win some points, but I move to the challenger that is for people who couldnt qualify at AO. In the rankings which points will be taken as both tournaments are counted as week 3.

Re: Ask the board Thread
After the votes in the TT Changes 2013 – it was a no change vote to the rule that players who lose in a Grand Slam qualifying be allowed to play a challenger in the following week – it was also voted that points would be introduced for qualifying wins, so a player can now gain points in both.

Re: Ask the board Thread
There is some type of limit of tournaments per month? I read that you can only play one tournament per week (there are some exceptions), but I haven't find something related to a maximum number of tournaments per month.
Thanks.
