The best player of 2012: Marinko Matosevic
Without doubt Matosevic is the best player in 2012. For the simple reason that he climbed the highest in the world rankings out of any player. From outside the top 200 to 49 is a climb of over 150 places. Much more impressive than Novak Djokovic who didn't even climb one place, while Roger Federer and Andy Murray moved up a single place.
So congratulations Marinko, the best player of 2012. Keep it up!

Fun tight-knit community, but horribly overzealous moderation. I left there for here.

But it's okay, because the top 10 playing more is good for the game!

TW was a place I was gonna hang out in during my short holiday. Don't need to go back there now

They should probably just lock GM during the off-season.

Re: The best player of 2012: Marinko Matosevic
Even though there's a bit of sarcasm in this thread, Marinko seriously deserves huge credit. He's put in the work and is reaping the rewards. Fully deserves his spot in the top 50 and it'll be great if he can get off the mark at the Australian Open in January.
