Interesting. Bellucci's plan to seed himself for AO is falling apart. By the way it looks now, Bellucci can become 32nd in the world only if he wins the tournament. The final doesn't help him anymore.

There could be a withdrawal or two.

Yeah, but that would mean planning on luck, whereas getting to number 32 is a sure seed.

another young player who emerged by so-called (by MTForumers) "vulturing muggish" challengers and will probably show that he can do something among top-100 players

WTF happened to Thom, he was up 4-1 in the 3rd before the feed cut out, looks like a poor choke job.

Yeah, but many of the players in the 32nd area may try to sack the spot there, so there would be fiercer competition, whilst now, Bellucci can get an advantage ahead of the competition, having no points to defend in the first week of 2013.

How a player can get the 32nd seed at a grand slam by playing as a wc in the challenger year end is beyond me. Just really unfair for those ranked around him.

That's the other discussion we were having in the previous days, the one regarding none of the Top 50 players to be allowed to receive a Wild Card in the CTF.
