The awesome part of DB for me is characters who actually change/grow old, develop relationships, etc. Pokemon looks same/predictable almost all the time, too childish in a way
hahaha, nerd alert. no wonder you guys have a hard time with girls.

Actually, I'd say guys who decide their tastes based on what is perceived to be childish or not, 'nerdish' or not, etc... rather than what they actually like have serious self-confidence issues and are far more likely to have a hard time with girls

If I had easy time with girls my wife would've killed me/married for almost 10 years now

Same here. Digimon was always my favorite of those, Adventure 01 and Tamers are just epic. I still get all sad when Takato and co. lose their digimon in the Tamers finale
For me it´s the other way around: Digimon is the one I liked least of the three. Though that has something to do with the fact they only showed the first two seasons here in Holland, whereas DBZ and Pokemon were on continously - and every day to boot. I had a whole ritual: school ended on 3PM, I raced back home, made myself a sandwich and from 4 to 5 PM they would show an episode of Pokemon and DBZ. I always called it my happy hour
Cartoon Network from the 90s was excellent as well. Dexter´s lab, Courage the cowardly dog, Ed, Edd n Eddy... So many good shows.

Expected I guess, Digimon is the least popular of the three.
I also had a similar ritual (not same series, but watching cartoons/kid series after getting back from school), I remember getting home and Doraemon was on and then Captain Tsubasa, Beyblade, Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya, etc... Then at night there was always Boy Meets World at 9pm, followed by Are You Afraid of the Dark, then my favorite Australian series of the 90s back to back - Spellbinder, Ocean Girl, The Girl From Tomorrow - and then finally an episode of The Adventures of Shirley Holmes before I went to sleep. Remember those times vividly and fondly, the standards of our kid/cartoon channels have really decreased now, otherwise I'd still watch it for hours
The 90s were a golden age for television in general, I rewatch 90s shows more than I watch new ones these days (watching a Boy Meets World episode at the moment actually).

Yeah, the 90s were a golden age indeed, although I do suspect a lot of our opinion is coloured by our nostalgia. Still, I think this thread has inspired me to look at some of the shows from this period again

Now that you've mentioned Holland, there was a cartoon show in the early 90s... I think it was on Super Channel with some Dutch guy hosting it, I think it was called Super Boss or something like that, a blond guy with glasses and a mouse doll, maybe do you know anything about it? I've tried few times to find any details about it, but it was much before the internetz, so can't find anything

Oh Digimon!! I miss my childhood. This soundtrack was so damn EPIC!!!
This and the Digimon 02 theme
Awesome series and awesome soundtrack. I usually dub Portuguese dubs of animes, but our Digimon opening/endings are GOAT. If there's any Portuguese/fluent in Portuguese folks reading this, do watch/hear this:
While we're at it, another anime series with awesome soundtrack is Captain Tsubasa J, especially:
Yeah, I´m too young to remember anything from the early 90s, my first TV-related memories are from 1996. But I´ll ask around.
Thanks, it was around '90-'91, shown on weekends early morning, no big deal but if you can find out anything, thanks a lot
