Just watched a replay of Davy's bagel set over Tipsy. Those first two games, wow. First one had 10 deuces, and second one 11. Not sure this type of stat is even kept, but can someone remember when consecutive games of 10+ deuces last happened? Also, is there a known record for # of deuces in a single game?

I remember a Chela match like 3 or 4 years ago, I wasn't keeping track but the score was 1-0 and they were 31 minutes in. Not sure if it was 1 really really long game or 2 really long games, either way those first 2 games there took slightly longer than the first 2 in todays match.

Total was probably one of the longest ever bagel sets though

this doesn't fit the requirement in the question because they have to be consecutive.

imo the longest game ever that I can remember is towards the end of last year. Mathieu and Bautista-Agut, It lasted about 30 minutes, something like 16+ deuces iirc

Well, to be fair I asked 2 questions ... and you answered both (from what you can remember) ... although I'm suspecting that this is one of those stats that just isn't recorded anywhere (probably because few people care outside of stats geeks ... yah thats me :-) ).

Anyways, there could be a relevant issue here too ... right now balls are changed after set number of games ... maybe there should be a rule that IF a set# of points are played BEFORE the game change, new balls are brought in. Looked like both players were really examining the balls to see which ones were least flat (older balls favour the receiver in general). Then again, if you really want to take it to the extreme, add a 3rd criteria after a certain # of hits. Of course, Monfils / Simon would need new balls after ever 2 or 3 rallies :-)

PS: you need to change your sig ... gotta add that last San Jose win!
