Default Re: Federer not invited for Abu Dhabi!

Federer was never going to play this exho because of the Gillette South American exho tour he's doing this off-season. He's also not playing Doha.

I suspect either:

1) Federer said he wasn't coming and the organisers are trying to save face

2) More likely, he asked for an absurd appearance fee so they would turn him down

For what it's worth I'm very glad he's not playing. Losing matches to the other top guys is never good, even if it's an exho. Soderling got a lot of confidence when he beat Fed there in 2010 and followed that up by knocking him out of RG.

Also, does anyone know what Fed's relationship is like with IMG since parting ways?

So how this sentence explaining Nadal's participation ?
Obviously, Nadal has at least 12 more majors in the future… according to tournament organisers.

Strikes me that statement has more spin on it than an average delivery from Shane Warne

Now THIS is a thread that deserves to be in GM because it wreaks emphasis of a just cause. And it's perfectly understandable. Spoiled, old, big-nosed people like Noserer don't deserve to play anywhere, let alone prestigious exhos like Abu Dhabi. Maybe people are finally starting to realise how much of a fluke and a fraud he is, and this is a good start. Let's hope this gold-thieving Pinocchio is declined entry for the grand slams this year too... that would do the world a whole lot of justice

Useless exho is useless, and with his current plans to play a little less useless exho's in SA (as he's never been there before) this December, I bet there never was a plan for him to play this exho at all.

My inflated ego can't deal with this.
I hope Fed got over his cold.

How will I ever support Federer & Nadal?
Ok, I'll just pretend I love both of them when they lose Slams....
because at least 1 will reach a Mickey Mouse tournament final.
