Correction, when Federer was at his peak there were several different #3s and #4s. It's only in Nadal's and especially Djokovic's peaks the players behind them appear glued to their positions. So what is more impressive? Dominate the same players year in and year out or dominate different ones? To little information to tell. Could be either one.

When Djokovic was in his peak, Federer was 31 and still #1 And from 2008 to 2013 (so far) Nadal has only won 2 more slams than past-his-prime Federer although Nadal reached his best level. And don´t forget that "weak era player" Hewitt won sets at the AO & Olympics against Djokovic ...

Djokovic has been quite exceptional over the past two years. He is pretty good to watch too, mostly. Beautiful forehand in motion, and a devastating backhand DTL. We await a youngster to truly challenge his domination on HC. We're still waiting...
Exactly. These fedfans are quite annoying.

He had just as much competition in this era. The only reason this era is considered strong at all is because of Federer and Nadal's GS numbers (though they are both past their best days) along with Djokovic and Murray's rise. But there is NOTHING to indicate that the competition was weak in Federer's prime days and to say so is misguided and pretty much disrespectful. But hey, respect doesn't seem to be a major thing around here.

“Does Djokovic resemble myself?” Agassi said. “No, he is even better. He defends really well, while I struggled more in that element of the game. Novak looks totally relaxed when defending, completely calm and the quality of his return is incredible. He is also extremely flexible in his game, which is facilitated by his ability to anticipate his rival’s moves. That is why I think he is a much more versatile player than I was and he is also much more athletic.”

And in this "strong" era, we have a venerable 31-year old beating a 25 and 26 year old no.1 and no.3 to win a slam. oh my! oh, and dang! I almost forgot, taking the no. 1 ranking for a few weeks

That's exactly what makes this era strong Could you imagine Ljubicic, Blake or Boredo beating Fed in a Slam final or contesting for #1 in rankings?!

People fed's own age weren't beating him - but neither were 31 year olds beating him either. Duh! What sort of sophistry are you trying to run past us?

Not to mention that Ljubo that couldn't beat his age peer Federer whom he met in a few finals, turned around and at 30-ish beat one of the "strong era" people, Nadal, to go on to win Indian Wells.

Why do you take one isolated match? or do you expect Novak to win all their encounters? what amount of bullshit.

And ivanban is right, as everyone knows. Even Pat Cash said that the best djokovic he saw in 2011 is even better than peak Federer because he had to face much stronger opposition.

Why do you say "even" Pat Cash? Is Cash such a heavy critic of Djokovic's that "even" he had to admit that peak Djokovic was better than peak Federer?
