Djokovic will overtake Nadal when he has more GS wins. I expect that to happen in the next four years.

1. Federer 17
2. Sampras 14
3. Emerson 12
4. Laver 11

Laver is considered greater player than Sampras despite the fact that Sampras won more slams than Laver.

Your opinion is irrelevant because you are not a tennis expert. Sampras said Djokovic will probably reach double digits at the slams http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sport...nis/57339052/1
Laver won not one but two CYGS. That is the holy grail of tennis and he did it twice.

Sampras also predicted Roger would win 10 Wimbledons.

Novak is 5-4 in slam finals. If he was 7-2 in slam finals instead then he would definitely be on his way to double digits but a 5-4 in slams finals is not enough as I explained above. His career trajectory is different from that of Borg, Sampras, Federer and Nadal. At the peak of his career Novak is winning almost as many slam finals as he is losing. This year he lost more slam finals than he won. That's not how you end up hitting double digits at the slams. It wasn't until Borg, Sampras, Federer and Nadal had won 10+ slams that they started piling up slam final losses.

Firstly, Federer's career is not over yet. Secondly, can you find a tennis expert who is always right?

It's not beating Federer that is impressive.
It's beating the top 3 players in 1 tourney
and beating them in all Slams (with no injured players).
Fed never did these things.

Federer is mediocre in 5 setters.
Djoker is outstanding in 5 setters and finals vs. multiple
champions who've won Masters Series & at least a Slam.
In the last 4 years, many top 10 opponents are better because they've beaten the
Slam champs.

Err, what? Pretty sure this is impossible of you are in the top four yourself and you consider the "top 3 players" to be seeded appropriately.

Joyce returns.

Steve Flink predicted back in 2010 that Nadal will probably surpass Federer's slam record.

The feeling grows that Nadal will have a good chance to move past Sampras, and he will probably surpass Federer one day as well. He is only 24.

Oops. The way things are looking Nadal might not even surpass Borg. So what Steve Flink predicts is not a foregone conclusion.

Actually, Steve Flink is a bit of a jinxer. Since he predicted that Nadal will probably surpass Federer after he won the USO 2010, the Spaniard's slam winning has slowed down and since predicting that Djokovic will hit double digits after Novak won the AO 2012, the Serb's slam winning has also slowed down.

5-4 is clearly subpar for a player of his caliber. Him having 5-4 now tells us he'll probably win the next 5 to 7 GS finals (which would put him at 10-4 or 12-4 - a more reasonable stat for someone who's still to dominate the next 2-3 years at least)
