History tells us the players who won their very first grass title at Wimbledon in the past 35 years never won Wimbledon again.

Agassi's sole grass title during his long career was precisely that Wimbledon title. Will Djokovic emulate that?

That's flukey.
The grass season last 1 month only, when is he supposed to win more titles?? Most players barely play on grass besides Wimbledon.

He's been a pro for almost a decade with just 1 grass title.

He's played Queens and Halle several times.

I suppose he had to avoid Federer to win Wimbledon.

who cares? Nole did win Wimbledon, the most prestigious tournament in the wold, when everyone was saying 'oh, he can't play on grass' etc. how many semis has he reached at W? he can play on ice and still win (blue clay, not so sure, lol)

he won wimby without playing a warm up tournament which is even more impressive, and he beat some legit opponents. now bugger off.

Plus Djokovic wasn't dealing with a cringeworthy, pathetic, choking, sweat-drenched Roddick twice in finals. LMAO

cause dull played so pathetic in that final, he doesn't even had the opportunity to choke. and of course djoker doesn't had to deal twice with a "mug" in a wimby-final if he only reached it once...

We're talking about a decade. Roddick gained allmost 20 pounds in 2004. The media wouldn't accept the truth.
He crashed and burned earlier than quarterfinals many times. In both finals, when he didn't have injury excuses, he was an overweight and scared rat. If he hadn't been this pitiful, fat coward, he could've won 3 of 5 sets in both finals.

weak era deflation? rubbish as usual. Will Djokovic career results be adjusted for the piss poor competition he is due to a "next generation of stars" once Federer and Nadal retires?

Cold hard numbers in sports dont lie, its the only hope of objectivity we have. Everything else are subjective ramblings of opposition "fans",. Arguments and counter arguments, on and on ad absurdum.

I appreciated Roger's comments to Novak after the WTF final very much. He said: "Congratulations, Novak, you're the best...I can't play much better than I did today".

That's amazingly gracious after such a painful defeat, and I know I'm not the only Nole fan who has a new-found respect for Roger after he said those words.
If you people are referring to that remarks in 2006, it was a Davis cup match for gods sake. Special circumstances and lots of things are being said during dc tie. I am sure fed was just reacting to and helping Wawrinka, who was clearly distraught by Djokovices behaviour in that match. Bad comments, but in the heat of the moment, augmented by the davis cup team atmosphere...

What happened next wasn't nice. Djokovic' parents got involved unnecessarily and started harrasing Fed not just via media, but also during matches.. Can you imagine Nadal's or Federer's parents stoop so low as to shout at their sons rival from the stands and make calls? Then public statements like "king is dead", or "my son will never lose to him anymore"...

This made the relationship much worse, and had to be cleared over the longer period of time.
