Default Hewitt about Tomic

http://www.tennis.com/news/2012/11/h.../#.UKiH9oZXmSo

really couldn't agree more. I like Hewitt so much because he always speaks up his mind. message sent to Tomic 'grow up kid' . so cute to hear 'I'm still playing'.

Hewitt saying he won't retire next year is the more interesting news, imo.

Yes Tomic needs to develop the discipline of a samurai. Watching him now, it's like a guy with no balls or a heart. The way he moves out there, so slow, no effort

If all else fails, try to be the best serve bot a 6'5 guy can be.

good comments from Hewitt; he's not attacking Tomic but he's not letting him off the hook, either.

well Kat, that's what I'm getting to. Lleyton has been so judged all of his life. Now, I want these 'kids' to make it happen. it looks like they are not listening. Hewitt has enough experience to give a good advice. Tomic should listen.

Not really massive news but Rusty is still correct. It's just a case of second year syndrome for B-Nard, it happens to the best of them and I reckon he will bounce back strongly next year. All of the off court incidents just snowballed and his mindset was all over the place. Not good in one of the most mentally demanding sports out there.

Still, when you look at the numbers, he almost managed to stay in the top 50 and only dropped 20 or so places in the rankings. The rankings drop is directly linked to the fact that he couldn't emulate his Wimbledon QF from last season.

Needs to work extremely hard this off season, sort out the issues with his father and dedicate himself fully to the sport so he has the highest chance of success next year and beyond. Ten years of hard work committing to the sport you love and then you can set yourself up for life, not bad if you can take it...

Hewitt will play until he is 40.

Letting him off the hook? How has he wronged Hewitt?

If the guy is happy being a journeyman, let him be. He's not playing for anyone but himself, Tennis Australia and all their boys need to back down and get their own lives, for real.

I get your point, for sure. I just get so annoyed with Tomic being so stubborn. Tomic can learn a lot of things from Hewitt and he should.

He has said many times that he wants to be at the top of the rankings and winning slams.

Yeah, he doesn't want to be where Philippoussis is now.

Tactful from Hewitt knowing that saying nothing about the tanking is best in this case.
