Re: Richard Gasquet in the top 10
At least Gasquet has some flashy shots and a nice netgame and some variety. Much better to have him in the top 10 than the very boring Monaco IMO.

Not if Berdych beats Ferrer. Then he gets no points even if he beats Uglynek.

Only if it is still a live rubber, surely? I didn't think they gave points for dead rubbers.

Re: Richard Gasquet in the top 10
Gasquet has had a pretty solid season - R16 at every major, ATP 250 tile, Masters Final, another ATP 250 Final. I guess that is good enough to be Top 10 nowadays.

I may be the second one, depending on opinion. I am neither of the others though.

I agree that it's better than Monaco but not by much. Gasquet has an overrated game and is a mediocre player.

Yes, I know. I wrote that in the OP.

Wrong. I'm very knowledgable on tennis and I know a mediocre player (Monaco, Gasquet) when I see one.

Let's hope Ferrer beats Berdych then.

Solid for a top 10-20 player, yes. It's not that great for a top 10 player though. He's mediocre and doesn't deserve a spot in there.

Re: Richard Gasquet in the top 10
I hope that Berdych beats Ferrer so Gasquet can stay top 10 for this year.
He deserves it more than players such as Monaco.
Almagro deserves more than Monaco though tbh

Re: Richard Gasquet in the top 10
If Tipsaveric can be in the top 10 I don't see Gasquet being their (not for the first time either) as a problem

No, instead let's keep this as a Gasquet hating thread, that's much better

There is just so much Sapeod fail in this thread

Hopefully, Almagro wins his next match in the Spain/Czech tie and boots him out of there.

Yes, that is how rankings work. Your results are better than everyone, except a maximum of 9 others, and poof, magic, you are in the top 10.

Also, let's not turn this into a Murray hating thread just because I'm the OP. I expected something like that to happen, but still, don't do it. I will thrash any of your arguments and posts and you should all known Andy is great for tennis.

Gasquet being in the top 10 has nothing to do with his Paris points. He lost in R32 in Paris.

So, what you're saying is, even if I thrash your arguments (which will happen) you'll just keep on going with them? Doesn't sound different to what normally happens.
|
Based on what exactly? Gasuet has a better record this year against the top5, the top 10 and the top 20.
You are just pissed because Gasquet beat your precious Andy Murray. You are having problems dealing with the fact that the a "mediocre overrated mug" can beat the almighty Murray. It's called denial.

Re: Richard Gasquet in the top 10
Never thought I'd say these words, but I fully agree with Sapeod. Gascoke is a mug and has no place in the top 10, for the good of tennis someone will take him out of there asap ie far before his dubious Toronto points fall.
