It is a well executed shot but really not that amazing. He had plenty of time and I think most top 100 players with similar fh grip could pull off that shot.

Here is a better version of the same shot:

That article is bullshit (no surprise, it's the telegraph). Murray is mentioned (in first place) in the title and the shot in question is actually Llodra's against Murray. Also, the Nadal shot is nothing special. It's more of a Federer royal fuck-up. Nadal just hits a loopy forehand in the middle of the court and Fed is unprepared. It's hard to even call that a (proper) passing shot.

It's a great passing shot but it is the kind of shot Rafa produces about 50 times in a season.

Gasquet's shot seems the hardest to realise. Quite impressive.

BTW, does anyboby know if someone else ever made a similar shot ?

I find Fed's volley more impressive than his passing actually: to stretch this far and to have that much control on the ball: crazy!

Yes, Gasquet. Against Nadal at Shangai 2007

How's that shot of the year? Even your one-trick poney of a player has hit a dozen better shots this year

Janko made a several times better one in the above link from #justlikeheaven# against Ferrer, from worse position and much more precise.

The only shot i believe is anykind of contender to Dimitrov's is Bubka's BH smatch in this vid - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfHWU...ayer_embedded#!

Amazing shot
