Whether you love or hate Roger, he's still the most popular player in the world by a wide margin There's no one that attracts crowds or fills arenas like him. 
He has a great personality, and he praised Novak vociferously for his year end #1. A journalist at the WTF Press Conference asked him: "Nole is the Year End #1, but will you feel like the REAL #1 if you win WTF?" Fed answered that the real #1 is determined by the rankings, and Novak fully deserves that spot. He was gracious and classy as usual.  |

he's not alone at all, but what he does, I think he does it well, anyway he puts efforts in that and I think he has the experience (especially having known tennis in other times) and the intelligence and the communication and listening of other players to do it well. And he likes it !

The difference is not that big in points between him and Nole so what he says is true, if he wins AO and Nole (for some freakish turn of fate) goes before the SF there then he'll be back to #1.

Top 150 players are making less than 6000 dollars per month still.
