Fed withdrew from Qatar and numerous Davis Cup ties, which saved him from beatdowns.

Murray was outwitted by Donald Young & Bogomolov.
He's the worst of the top 4 so Federer could hang on to the easy Slams.

But Murray has 1 (and an Olympic gold in his sport) and Barkley has 0?

This is still Murray's major down fall. He never seems to take positives and build on them with in a match, he' much more comfortable clawing back from a deficit, and that's just not a winning strategy most of the time against the top guys. This is something Lendl should be able to help with, as he always played better with a lead and was more ruthless after going up.
