be quiet you mug. Tennis is saved from this loud, ill-mannered, brute winning an important tournament.

So let me get this straight hun, you say a Top 30 player who rose almost 200 ranking spots in one season is a non-entity, yet you feel the real entities are your Challenger level muggy faves who you report on daily? That makes absolutely no logical fucking sense Stay pressed, bitch

How the hell is a guy who crys in interviews and so appreciative about his amazing run in a tournament and still in utter disbelief cocky? You need to look up the definition of "cocky" ASAP...Another pressed hater making illogical comments

Why does Ferrer have so many haters? At least he's always playing intelligently, not grinding like Djokovic and Nadal. Ferrer's game is much more attractive.

Re: Paris F: (4) Ferrer def (Q) Janowicz 6-4 6-3
Strong performance from Ferrer. I knew that after Janowicz failed to break him at 4-4, there was a big chance he would lose serve immediately. He was extremely erratic off the ground, somewhat surprising it comes after so many good matches in a row. Probably a bit shot mentally and physically. Also, Ferrer ws just always there, maintaining a superb length and serving slice serves into the body, tempting Janowicz to take full-blooded cuts. I thought there was promise in the way he started to work the points during 1 game midway through the 2nd set, but he did not keep that up for long.
So much respect for Ferrer and his work ethic and underrated game. It would be great to see him win a Slam or at least reach a final. As for Janowicz, hopefully this is only the beginning and he does not just go away.

"Tough match?" World #3 Federer's ("greatest player to have ever played the game," you just said before rushing off the bathroom to change your underwear) H2H against World #58 Seppi is 6-0.
If it wasn't tough, Federer's victory would not be as glorious and godlike! Naturally, if Seppi and Isner were in Nadal's side of the draw, any victory that he managed to scrape out against these Tough Titans of Tennis would be pure luck!

Re: Paris F: (4) Ferrer def (Q) Janowicz 6-4 6-3
Congratulations to David Ferrer and all his fans on his first Masters 1000 title! Condolences to Jerzy Janowicz and his fans, but congratulations for his huge run to his first Masters final. He was obviously tired toward the end. Let's hope he will have many more!
Some additional words from the players:
David Ferrer - "It was a dream for me to win here in Paris-Bercy." "I had never won a Masters 1000, and I took my chance, because it was not Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic. I played very good these past two weeks. It is very important because it was the best season of my career, and I will still try to improve my game."
Jerzy Janowicz - "This was his fifth match; this was my eighth match. I was really tired. I was actually exhausted almost," admitted Janowicz. "I'm only human, and I'm still happy about this final. David played today really good tennis. It was good enough to beat me today. He's a really experienced guy. He didn't get nervous."
"I’ve got a lot of confidence right now. I learned if you have big heart and you want to do something amazing and you’re going to fight for this, you have a big chance to make it."
Respectfully,
masterclass

Re: Paris F: (4) Ferrer def (Q) Janowicz 6-4 6-3

Happy for hard working Ferrer, a true professional unlike some other players.
Watched most of the match and was not too impressed by this Janowicz. A serve&dropshot-bot, with average groundstrokes.
Some people here are mentioning high quality tennis in the 1st set. If Janowicz dumping backhands into the net, forehands all over the place is high quality for you, then you have very low standards.
Alltogether he played about 30 dropshots and won about quarter of those points and made 42UE in two sets. The best he did today was hitting a few 230km/h serves in the beggining of the match (the fastest was 242km/h) and hit some nice forehands winners from time to time.
I know he was tired today, I'm just talking about today's performance which wasn't great like some people say.
Ferrer was his usual self.

Re: Paris F: (4) Ferrer def (Q) Janowicz 6-4 6-3
The trend continues.
There has never been a real fairy-tale in tennis. Never will be. Just when I was hoping that JJ would be the qualifier who came out of nowhere and took the whole thing (putting the overrated young guns to shame); ah - he let it slip. And now, public memory being what it is, he'll go down and be forgotten.
Can he really build on what he acquired this tournament? I don't think so. This was James Blake WTF kind of run. Doesn't happen again. Raonic, Dimi and Tomic might not have had such an inspired run, but I think they will prove to be more consistent.
Sad for JJ.
