Based on 1 match after which that guy faded into oblivion? Poor trolling attempt.

Against Soderling, 1 significant loss. IIRC, Fed was similarly helpless the next year at RG.

"Tough match?" World #3 Federer's ("greatest player to have ever played the game," you just said before rushing off the bathroom to change your underwear) H2H against World #58 Seppi is 6-0.

If it wasn't tough, Federer's victory would not be as glorious and godlike! Naturally, if Seppi and Isner were in Nadal's side of the draw, any victory that he managed to scrape out against these Tough Titans of Tennis would be pure luck!

One of the biggest things that annoyed me so much during Feds peak years. Every time Roddick (mostly) or someone else had BP against him, he'd come up with an ace or something else. The guy is clutch no doubt, but Nadal and Djokovic have taken it to another level

Rubbish. Their games are more constant and they get errors from their opponents. I wonder how clutch Nadull would be on a fast court. Not very, I'd say.

Nadal is clutch but his clutchness is a bit overrated cause usually it's the opponent going for too much and missing on big points- not him saving them by taking it into his own destiny.

That's why for me Nole has a clear edge over him. He saves big points on his own terms.

Big misconception here. Nadal can be passive, but on the big points he really takes matters into his own hands. Unleashed the FH DTL more often, serving to the forehand a lot, he's aggressive on big points.

Djokovic is a bit overrated here. He's very good when he has nothing to lose (match point down) but i saw him fading badly in a lot of big matchs in his career except 2011.

This year, he should have won against Murray in the USO, he missed many chances against Federer at Wimbledon, and he almost chocked badly against Nadal in the AO. Luckily for him, Nadal couldn't take his chance.

In his prime, Federer was clutchier, but these days he's weaker, so i put him behind the serb.

Nadal is on another planet, he's just a mental freak, almost inhuman.

The guy couldn't lose a big match where he has a shot at winning. In his entire career, well, he failed only two times, Wimbledon 2007 and AO 2012. But how many of these matches he managed to win? A billion.

Nadal is obviously more clutch than Federer, Federer's lack of clutchness might be the greatest argument against him beeing the GOAT.

My ranking:

1.Djokovic
2.Nadal
.
.
3.Del Potro
4.Federer
5.Murray
6.Berdych
7.Ferrer
8.Tipsy
9.Tsonga
10.Monaco

Good post, still think Nole is very clutch though. Definitely top 2

Clutch is not only about saving matches points, to be fair, when you're a match point down, the outcome is not totally in yours hands anymore unless you're serving an ace. In any of these matchs, when Djokovic saved a match point, if his opponent would have hit a clear winner, a great return or a great service, he would have close the deal. The luck is an important factor here.

Clutchness= winning a tight match. Djokovic lose a lot more closes matchs than Nadal, it's an evidence, even more when you look about Nadal peaks years. Nadal rarely let his opponent the chance to close the match with only one good shot. So he rarely save match points. But it means nothing.

Nadal only appears clutch because he does the same damn thing every point (cc fh to righty bh). Who cares if it is matchpoint or break point? Just play the only point you have ever played in your career over and over again. Zero imagination. Hence when he faced someone who COULD defeat his pattern in Djokovic, he didn't have the balls or inventiveness to counter it.

Federer only appears clutch because he is probably holding one to complement his white-leather man-bag and other numerous metrosexual accessories.

Djokovic is the only true clutch player who dares to attack in different ways on match-point down. Though this can also backfire, for instance his failed S&V attempt when matchpoint down to Murray in olympics.

Look around man. Every sane poster in here has Nadal on 1 or 2 and Federer way behind.
