Someone admitting Murray plays attacking tennis!
Anyways, almost no players can outhit Berdych from the baseline(other than like Del Po)- you have to play smart against him and move him around or hope he has a bad day.

Yes Simon can´t hit ace on outdoor slow HC, clay and definitely not on grass right? his 1st serve have good placement, that´s it Berdych should have done more just get those serves back, those unreturnalbes from Simon were returnables for sure - at lest some of them.

I never said Mugray does not try to attack. He's become far more watchable recently because of that and that's why I can somewhat stand him.

This is not true. See Berdych against Murray on clay especially.

Luckily they are both on the other side of the draw. It's funny how Simon has such a horrible time with the other french players, he never beats Gasquet either. He does have a good record against Monfils though.

This isn't a great example. Murray's shots fail to effectively penetrate most clay courts, so the ball sits up. Berdych benefits from the extra time to set up on most of his shots, and he has the added firepower to make the property of the court negligible. It doesn't necessarily translate the same on other surfaces.

In any case, I agree that it's a bit too simple to suggest that you need only make him play to beat him.

Ok, ok, Gilles will probably win the tourny, but you have to admit... Gasquet playing utter sh*t was very close to become a top 10

God damn it, not Simug again I was really hoping for Janko (if he beats Janowicz) to get Berdych.

I agree with you on Murray. Simon is a much smarter player than Berdych though, I don't see that it can be up for debate, or why it's so startling to hear.

I couldn't watch the match, but I assume Tankdych was out in full force. It's kinda good news as he can head to London immediately

Let's just hope Tsonga doesn't tank too so we don't have a mug/random winner. I trust him to try his best in his home tournament.
