High seeds are falling like flies in Paris. Who will be next? Ferrer, Tsonga? Wawrinka and Almagro could be benefactors of the upset mania. Hard to see Tsonga losing his first match to Almagro. But Wawrinka beat Ferrer in their last match in Cincinnati.

Respectfully,

That´s all, Roger didn´t even play here with YE No.1 loss, Nole didn´t need to win here with Roger withrawing, so why he would tire himself for WTF, - Andy the same + WTF is his home event and last year he was injured so why to go for Paris title, Delpo just again stupid schedule - 2titles in row - 3rd week playing in row with his stamina... he wouldn´t win here anyway.

Tsonga - he willgo for the title for sure, but problem is his form is bad

Berdych- is rested and this would be big confidence and points boost for him - he will go for title

Ferrer, Tipsy-their chances at WTF are 0% to win title, so this is biggest careeer title in stake they will do anything to win here.

in Paris we have a lot of pigeons.

This is why this tournament smells so much like Birdshit

honestly I had already felt that before Murray was out, Berdych played very well today and he has such determination/mental strength now.

Tsonga doesn't look good at all, Berdych is the huge favorite now.

I would love Ferrer to win it though, I don't know if it's that important for him (comparing to a Masters 1000 on clay or Barcelona) but it would be lovely to shut some mouths up

EDIT : from the way he looks tonight, I can see it is important for Ferrer, he looks very determined, having smelt his chance.

now I can foresee a final Llodra-Simon with a Llodra win (Llodra leads the H2H 5-0)

anyway, Llodra's level in his first matches has been underrated : he can indeed win it.

Ferrer going for Masters title here. After all it can be good tournament for french crowd with so many their guys doing well, if Llodra will make SF than crowd wise and TV ratings in France should be high like if Roger was there

to say the truth, no French organizers, media and fans didn't like top-players going out, esp. Fed who is very popular.

But of course when they're out, they prefer French players to do well, esp. Tsonga and Llodra who are more popular.

It has been like that for long in Paris.

I really hope Ferru will take it, and I believe he can. As Duong said, he seems very determined. I don't think there's any chance he will let it go without fighting (when does he ever do this anyway?)
Berdych is now out. Tsonga does not play well and should lose against Ferrer unless he finally finds his form. The potential threats are Tipsy (but I think Ferrer can beat him as well, as he did in the US Open) and Janowicz, IMO.
Janowicz is a superb player, he has shown against Murray that he had strong nerves, and his victory will give him a huge confidence boost. He could potentially be dangerous.
