Knowing that you're a funny guy, I guess you're kidding saying "slightly"
yes Monaco replaces Fed, Kohli replaces Monaco and a LL replaces Kohli.
The draw is still quite balanced if Fed withdraws.

he's already very lucky that Almagro bumped on a great Ferrer today and now needs to reach QF in Paris (then probably defeat Tsonga) to go ahead of Gasquet.
As for Gasquet to go ahead of Tipsy, he will have a chance to reach SF considering that neither Djoko nor Murray are in his quarter. It's a great chance actually !

Yep, poorman's Fed must beat the real deal, but I give Gascan more of a chance this time around.

Re: WWW Paris Masters + Main draw discussion
Murray has the best draw here, so he should take this.

Re: WWW Paris Masters + Main draw discussion
PS : for info about a potentially "rigged draw", when I started watching the TV program, it had just started and the seeds were already placed.
It seems to me that Tsonga only drew the unseeded players (including the ones he will face by the way )

I would be slightly concerned with myself if I wasn't joking!
To be honest, I had little clue, but I remembered something about 17 replacing 9 and so on and so forth.
The official method makes logical sense, though as the best player without a bye gets one, the best player unseeded gets seeded, and this is all done with the minimum number of swaps and shuffles.
Thanks for clearing it up!

It's not a problem for Fed : it will just give the YE number 1 officially to Djokovic several days in advance, but anyway it was certain that Djokovic would get it before the WTF.
As for being afraid of Simon or not, I don't know if Fed is, but I know I am, and I think that the Fedfans who are not afraid of Simon, especially in Fed's form, are just unrealistic about Simon's ability in that match-up : he returns Fed's serve greatly, loves whne Fed goes to the net to adjust him with passing-shots, it's a nightmare for any undeluded Fedfan.
Anyway, as far as Fed is concerned, he had already said a few days ago that he would decide if he goes to Paris after playing Basel, and it seemed that he had little chance to play anyway.
The priority for him is the WTF and Basel, Paris has never been a priority for him. And the YE number 1 was gone since Shanghai anyway.
Besides, I had said that he would not play Paris already months ago, considering the stupid new scheduling of the end of year, the only thing which surprises me is that he has not announced it before.
And he still has not announced it, but like many Fedfans, I hope he will. I prefer watching good tennis calmly in Bercy on wednesday and not be part of a Fed-Simon corrida.
But uxyzawhatever, don't make a confusion between what Fed thinks and what his fans think. Far before this draw, on Fed's forum, 3/4 of the people hoped he would not play Paris.
As for Fed himself, he said that it depended on his condition. I hope he wins Basel, is tired and withdraws.
|
Sure, stupid question on my side I was thinking about the over 31 rule, forgot it doesn't apply to 0-pointers.
Ok duowhatever. I don't make a confusion between that. Fed (aside from all the thing I don't like about him) is a man of his word. And I bet he'll play Paris unless he injures himself in Basel (not wishing injury). Fed fans, on the other hand, are entirely different story. They don't have faith in him to regroup and put on his A game at the end of the season, after he's done it so many times. And I, as a non-Fed fan, don't think he'll have any problems beating Simon.

Yes! If Berdych doesn't fuck up early on he'll improve his H2H vs Federer.

This is indoor tennis, Federer gave him a tennis lesson last year in this same tournament.

Re: WWW Paris Masters + Main draw discussion
Tough draw for Nole... Querrey, Raonic, Delpo/Isner, Ferrer/Tsonga, Federer/Murray. But hopefully Shanghai win gave him an extra boost and he'll take the title here

Re: WWW Paris Masters + Main draw discussion
I'm not even going to look at this draw and maje any conclusions until I have some idea of who might qualify. As this is only a 48 man field, qualifiers play a massive role here, more so than any other masters.

Berdych played almost 3 and a half hours the day before against Murray while Federer had a 1 hour practice session against that vulture Mugaco, what else would the result have been?

Yes, because the qualys always have a huge impact in Masters events, because it's a smaller field it's that much tougher to win matches, so the qualys if anything will probably have even less of an impact here, as was proved in Toronto with it's 48 player draw.

Great. Now you and me know if this QF happens that Fed is going to win. Saying this I think that Fed is currently playing his worst tennis in last 2 years but karma is just too big bitch
