Default Paris, R1: Anderson d. Bellucci 62 61

Both played good in Basel,
but this result is a surprise.

I thought the surface is slower since 2011,

this result would be more logical on the old - very fast surface back in 2010.

Bellucci was shit from what I saw.

He couldn't find the court at times. Anderson served well as usual and was solid

Anderson is often labelled as a fast-court player, but I think this slow Paris surface perfectly suits him. His serve will do damage anywhere, but he gets time on the ball to unwind his strokes.

Bellucci just is shit whenever he can't see the sky. Of course it being slow couldn't harm him, but he doesn't return well enough to win this indoors match-up often, in my opinion.

Not so true anymore going from his Moscow and Basel performances.

I thought that Thom probably at this point is quite tired and wanted to go on his break fast, although his 2 previous losses have been big ones so maybe his confidence wasn't high too, but I'm going with point 1, all in all a very good end to the season, hopefully come January this match will be long in the memory.

Strange result indeed - Bellucci has been serving quite well recently, to see him broken so many times by Anderson is puzzling.
