Default Rio CH SF: Elias def. Sousa 6-4, 7-5.

Now who should be in the top 100.

LOL Stop the trolling please. If there's something about this week, is that he proved his top100 spot yesterday. And also i'm pretty sure he would have one against any other player of this tournament today, but it seems he developed some kind of mental blocking against his great friend Gastão. It0s true that João never even had a single Bp in the whole match, but there was only 6 points of difference between the 2 players. Also 2 hours for a 2 setter, it says something about how tied was the match.

Now, I hope Gastão to wins his first challenger tittle. I can't believe that a player of his quality doesn't have a single CH tittle in his carreer, even if he's only 21. The other finals he played were on clay agains 2 good players in that surface. Warlocq and Robredo.

It's not really trolling if it's true. How is beating a low ranked de Bakker proving that you are top 100 worthy. Nice try at an excuse there.

Elias has a lot of potential. He reminds me of Fognini to a certain extent. Definitely was the better shotmaker in this match.

De Bakker is one of the most under ranked players in the tour and you know that. He played so many few tournaments, yet he's not far from top100, being injured in the major part of the season.

since when being similar to fognini is a positive thing? as for Elias, again, I've seen him only 5-6 times and he was awful in every match -including one lost against Sousa.

No, he's one of the most overrated players, and you are one of those who overrates him.

IMO Elias has definitely more potential than Sousa. To be honest I think Sousa reached his peak this season, while Elias can achieve much more in next years.

I don't know if Sousa reched his peak, but I agree that he can't go much further in the ranks. Maybe top 70 at his best. Gastão always had more potential, and can be easily a top 50 if he lives up to it.

Hopefully he will keep his head at the right place.
