Re: WWW ATP Newcomer of the Year?
I like Goffin too, that was more me posting my disapproval of ones who think Klizab has no bandwagon. Both had bandwagons, and both had true fans
But yeah Klizan was a better newcomer, age doesn't matter, previous ranking doesn't matter, newcomer is about which player who played mainly all year long on tour for the first time had the best season, Klizan's season was better than Goffin's, that's all that matters here

Is Kuznetsov Kuznetsova's bro or Kuznestsova herself after a sex change?

Re: WWW ATP Newcomer of the Year?
No one thinks Baker the Rise of a Down Trodden American, was a controversial gossip story. They didn't feel like hurting roddick's decade long dominance of USA coverage.

Re: WWW ATP Newcomer of the Year?
Well he was never top 100, so by my definition of a newcomer he was a newcomer.
He fits all these awards, he's the best newcomer, he the most improved, and he's had the best comeback, he's probably the most sportsmanship too, give him all the awards

I guess you can only be nominated for 1
After all, they did call it an amazing "comeback story" very often!

With all due respect, Baker was a "nobody", before injuries. He is a newcomer indeed. And for me, the best one!

He beat Gaudio at the US Open I wasn't following tennis then (because I was 7 ) but I think he got quite a bit of hype for that. It really was his comeback that made him 'famous'. Newcomers are mostly younger players that are newer to pro tennis, otherwise players like Matosevic would be nominated for that award. If you still don't agree, then blame the ATP for making the choices

i started supporting goffin 2 years ago, though gotta admit the 2 runs at the slams came as a big shock to me i thought del bonis was gonna be the one stepping it up this year but hes been so disapointing
either way klizan has been great as has goffin so it doesnt bother me which one wins

Gaudio was capable of losing to the local baker at the US Open. It was an probably upset, but it was far from a big upset.
