Yes, in a sense that it is second best to fedal and rafole.

Rafole will still be an interesting rivalry. Nadal is not gone.

The Fedal rivalry was forced down our throats. The reality is it wasn't a special rivalry bar a few matches, such as Wimbly 2008.

Nolandy is a friendly rivalry, which is far more even and unpredictable. A rivalry doesn't have to be heated for it to be interesting.

I'd rather see Murray and Djokovic having a bromantic relationship off court while producing fireworks on court, than behaving like Boxers, who pretend to hate each other and say they'll knock each others' blocks off and then get into the ring for 12 rounds of groping and hugging.

How many times Novak beat Rafa on clay? I think twice so Fed done that twice as well. Even Federer gave Rafa a bagel on clay. Who stop Novak's streak last year? Federer at 30 on his worst surface.Let see what Djokovic will do and how long can he play with his style ?!

The only special thing about that was the idiocy of playing a tennis match in the dark.

The Nolandy rivalry is also crap - they both play from the baseline and Murray's too big of a chicken to come to the net.

Truth is Fedal was overhyped.
Rafa-Nole has been so far the most memorable rivalry in this era. Noleray has potential too.

Nadal and Nole is as memorable as counting sheep to fall asleep. The truth is that only a number of matches between the top 4 have produced proper quality and drama at the same time.

I just don't rate Djokovic's passing shots that highly. When pressed on the FH side, he struggles to produce and his BH passing shots are not that good. Of course he might get passed but that doesn't mean that with the right tactics, it's impossible. He'll have to pull off a few good volleys but then he may have won one of those 5 MPs.

Mandy will never considered part of the real elite 3. He's a clown. Winning a slam with USTA's help does not suddenly propel him into an all time great status. I am tired of all the hype surrounding this pusher. In a year or so when he can't run down every ball, he'll be hit off court by pretty much every ballbasher. Mugray built his career on pushing.

You mean the rivalry where Djokovic owned his slave in 7 straight finals? I agree that it was very enjoyable indeed to watch Dull getting destroyed like that but it wasn't much of a rivalry. Dull got some wins on clay now. Just like he did against the GOAT. Doesn't mean shit.

Nadal was not in his prime when Noserer was between 2004-2007. Noserer played mug competition off clay in his prime, that is a fact. If he had to play 2008 Nadal and No2e during that time, he'd have half the slams he has now. Beating guys like Roddick, Hewitt and Gonzalez in slam finals must have been very difficult.

That explains why Noserer is #1 now.

Memorable? OK, now that is such an asinine thing to say. While the Fedal rivalry was certainly more lopsided than Rafole in many ways, you can't tell me that the best and most memorable matches in the past 10 years have come entirely from Rafole. Yes, AO 2012 final and Madrid SF 2009 were great, but that is really it for them. Fedal have had much more memorable matches here... Not saying Rafole can't have more memorable matches in the end, but as of now, to say Rafole has the more memorable rivalry is just plain stupid, even if you are a big fan of Nole or whatever. No casual tennis fan says Nadal and Djokovic more than Federer and Nadal.
