Is Novak Djokovic now the MP saving GOAT?
He has proven it several times in the last months. I think he deserves to be awarded this title by MTF.

Correction: in the last years. It all started over 2 years ago, when he saved 2 MPs in the 2010 USO semifinal against Roger and repeated the feat the following year, same instance, same opponent.

No, Novak isn't the MP saving GOAT. Nicolas Lapentti is.

I believe he is and it`s great accomplishment, but it shouldn`t be overestimated though.
To becone MPS GOAT you should face the mp a lot in different matches which doesn`t sound well at all. Better win without them and only no nonsense about non-impressive wins then only.

Re: Is Novak Djokovic now the MP saving GOAT?
Do you know what is record for player coming down from MP to win matches? Nole is Matchpointovic for sure. He has done a lot of work, when i just imagine Nole from 2010 DF´s more than Verdasco and this Nole it´s amazing difference

Andy gave him those points. He didn't do much.

Of course, goes without saying, nothing is better than 6-0 6-0 Still, if someone does face MPs, saving is better than not saving

That's not what Andy said.

I wouldn't agree fully. Sure, Andy didn't really give away the match badly and that forehand was pretty good. However, he gave away the others. Simple as that. That and the last set were the only bad points in the match. Everything else was pretty good.
I refuse, however, to believe that Djokovic wasn't lucky here.

Re: Is Novak Djokovic now the MP saving GOAT?
I'd give that to title to him. While think Andy donated a few of these MPs, he most certainly didn't donate all of them. Even saving one or two mps against Murray or Fed is pretty special, and Novak seems to do it a fair amount against the top guys.
