Why can't people just accept that everyone is different, and people prefer different types of tennis. If everyone was the same, then the world would be a boring place. A person is not an idiot (or any other names) for liking a different style of tennis to yourself.

Just because you don't like Defensive tennis, or 'ball-bashing' doesn't mean that other people shouldn't like it either

Murray is not a pusher. How many times do I have to say this?

He is a tactician. That's the truth. If you don't like that, that's your problem.

Also, I find it ironic how an Argie is making fun of Andy's game when their top player can do nothing but smack the ball into the middle of the court the same way every single time and move like an elephant. Hilarious.

How about you get out of my thread if I'm boring you?

Or are do you actually have something relevant to contribute?

It's hilarious how fans of pushers keep trying to make themselves feel better about their favorite player's utterly boring/negative playstyle by branding them 'tacticians'

Yet you're a fan of Del Potro. Don't make me laugh.

At least these "pushers" can do more than one thing on court. You know, variety, something Del Potro doesn't have.

There are pushers, but Andy and to a lesser extent, Ferrer, are tacticians along with a few others. They're also a hell of a lot better to watch than brainless ballbashers who can only hit the ball very hard over and over again.

Rubbish. Del Potro can take a more conservative approach (his default approach) by hitting big with a lot of margin to draw short balls (you could call it a brand of power pushing of sorts) and hit closer to the lines and even finish points at the net. He changes it up during matches too.

Del Potro is the real tactician here Notice how he took power off his serve from set 4 on during the US Open final to maximize 1st serve %/because his groundies were on fire. What a tactician this Del Potro

Yes, they are. Or at least they were. The tennis "experts" regard them as talented and posters on here generally like them more than tacticians because they don't "push". I can see why pushers would be more hated, but why players like Murray and Ferrer? They have variety (especially Andy), better court games and actually use their brains on court.

A player who uses their brain on court, who works their opponent around, who uses variety and also uses power when needed is far better than a player who just hit the ball as hard as they can.

ah but what are we talking about here? About what style is more highly regarded, not whether some player is a a headcase. Stay in topic.
Nalbandian, who doesn't have a mayor weapon except his solid BH and tactical gameplay is more highly regarded than simple ballbashing, that's for sure. We can agree there.

But don't put Murray in the same bag. His style is not that of a tactician, if anything he's a defensive pusher, and rarely a defensive counterpuncher.

Anyway, you don't listen, so why do you make a thread asking a question, you get the answer and you refuse to listen and take it in.
Like a child.

Del Potro a tactician? Utter nonense. I've seen Potro play plenty of times and all he does is hit hard. Into the middle of the court. Over and over again. Wow, he can take away some of the power every now and then, what a tactician. He's still a ballbasher who has only one game plan. Hit hard. He can't change his game at all, he can't volley, he can's slice, he moves like an elephant and he can't compare to tacticians.

He won that US Open final because Roger gave it to him (biggest choke I've ever seen Roger do in slam, ever) but that's an entirely different topic.

I already said Nalbandian's game was good. The "headcase" sentence was in regards to how he could've been so much more if he wasn't a failure.

Andy is a tactician, whether you like it or not. If you think he's a pusher, that's your problem.

I do listen. It's just that most of the things I listen to on here are garbage and are treated as such.

You're just jealous that Del Potro is one of the greatest tactical minds on the ATP tour (only below the likes of Golubev, Rosol, Gulbis and co.), while Murray is a mindless pusher

It was not a choke from Federer, it was tactical genius from Del Potro. He actually has more than one way of playing tennis, while all Murray can do is mindlessly push/retrieve as many balls as possible. That might work in the current slow court era, but as soon as the courts become a bit faster his lack of a plan B is fully exposed
