Shanghai R3: Stepanek def. Isner 6-4 6-7(5) 6-3
Too sexy from Stepanek. Been a while since he has been in a TMS quarter final.
Funny incident with Layhani saying Stepanek challenged on a miss hit, when he hadn't and it ended up being quite a farcical situation. Even on his worst day Mo is still better than Norm Chryst.
30 all on Steps serve for the match, 40 shot rally and hits a dropshot winner too good.

Shanghai R3 : Stepanek def. Isner 6-4 6-7 (5) 6-3
Just like how i predicted yesterday.
Well done Steps. When he's on, he's just so enjoyable to watch. Pure shotmaking and delicious net skills.
Isner was far from his best, but it was still a nice match with no vultures or pushers around.

Shanghai R3: Radek Stepanek takes out [8]John Isner 6-4 6-7(5) 6-3
Too sexy for the servebot.
2nd consecutive top 15 win for Steps, coming from a 4 match losing streak.

Some serious pushing from both guys at 30 all in the last game.

Re: Shanghai R3 Stepanek def. Isner 6-4 6-7(5) 6-3
Stepanek had a higher % won on his 2nd serve than Isner on his 1st.

The Worm king has 100x more technique than Isner. Actually Stepanek made Isner look like a kid with worms inside his stomach.

Stepanek was good, a little choking at the 2nd set TB though but Isner only has serve over him.

Re: Shanghai R3: Stepanek def. Isner 6-4 6-7(5) 6-3
Nothing against Isner, but an old school player like Stepanek getting to a TMS Quarters is great for the game. Some of the younger generation need to watch his volleying style. Then beat it into their heads that volleying and variety can win them matches

Yup, from the comments it seems Steps challenged, then switched to "who, me?"

Slade should be happy with this result. Glad Steps managed to pull through and eliminate the hopeless Isner. I'm saying hopeless, because he didn't have any efficient weapon to show in this match. Apart from his regular serve that is.
