Re: Tsonga: Referees always favor top 4
Yes, indeed. Federer always gets the favourable schedule. Way to put everyone in the same basket Tsonga. It's more like Nadull and his cheating family that get favourable treatment.
It would also help his case if he actually points a finger at the favoured players (outside of the pig which is obvious for all to see).

He did point a finger, unless you think there are some other top 4 players in ATP we don't know anything about

Hm, I rather meant specific examples of when they were favoured.

Re: Tsonga: Referees always favor top 4
tsonga is spot on. it's clear to see that the top players are generally favoured. that's also one of the reason why we see so few upsets in the circuit.
what a joke of an era.

Maybe Tsonga should work harder to get into the top four then?

Re: Tsonga: Referees always favor top 4
Would a lower ranked player be allowed as much time between serving points as Nadal and Djokovic often take; I am not sure they would. However, I feel the bias is probably more when top 4 players are playing significantly lower ranked players rather than another top 10 player.

Always if the call is overturned on challenge, they replay the point if the opponent gets a racket on it. At least in every other match I've seen. But Djokovic is awarded an ace in the tiebreak. That has to be unnerving and irritating. I don't blame Tsonga for ranting a bit after that.

Not exactly! The out call by the line judge came AFTER Tsonga's racket touched the ball. His return was not affected by the call so it's the correct call by Mo.

Jo is correct, but he needs to show some more perseverance to get into the top 4 instead of complaining.

tsonga plays attacking tennis, which is not allowed on these slow courts, tailor made for defense and retrieval
however, i don't think tsonga would win a slam even in the 1990s
he does not have the return of serve necessary to do so

No. That's almost never done, because it's very hard to tell whether the call is made before contact in most cases, and here the call was not clearly late. The benefit of the doubt is given to the player in almost every instance.

Because the players in the nineties all specialized in returning serve

so top 4 are all all homos, Jo needs to become a homo to join the top 4 and win some slams. that's my conclusion (my apologies to Filo btw, I'm just being stupid today )

This court was pretty fast compared with the rest of the tour, and there was no reason for Tsonga to throw in the towel after the call didn't go his way.

well, it's mostly true. But Jo could of kept this for himself, no need to make it public. He will make Muzza, Godovic, Kneedal and Fatherer mad.
