Tokyo SF: [8] Kei Nishikori crushes Marcos Baghdatis 6-2 6-2
And the final match is set between two of the young pretenders to Top 10.
If Kei wins the tournaments, he'll be 15th. If not, he'll be 16th.
If Milos wins the tournaments, he'll be 11th. If not, he'll be 14th.

Heh, pretenders, they are looking like contenders now, esp. Milos.
Kei in great form to take this pushfest.

YAY Kei!!!
Amazing performance. Now go win the title! He's my favourite of the young guns and really hope this is the start of his real rise towards the top 10. Time to stop Milos, who actually would be in a position to challenge for the WTF if he wins this. Kei the more complete player with beautiful strokes to watch - really hope he wins his home title.

Re: Tokyo SF: [8] Kei Nishikori crushes Marcos Baghdatis 6-2 6-2
I've never seen Kei so on it right from the first game. Focused, confident, serving and volleying and really just dominating.
It will be a lot tougher against the serve bot, as Kei won't be able to be as agressive on return, but I still have hopes for the first Japanese Champion in Tokyo.

Kei's game is most like Novak's when it's on. Beautiful BHDTLs. Loved him being aggressive and attacking the net. He's also pretty fast in his play compared to the Nadals and Djokovics. So happy for him.

Wasn't Nishikori injured a few weeks ago? Barely managed to close out Sela in Davis cup in 5?
I guess it's been 3 weeks since then so he's had time to recover but I wasn't expecting such a dominating run to the final here, he worries me, will probably beat Milos

Re: Tokyo SF: [8] Kei Nishikori crushes Marcos Baghdatis 6-2 6-2
One hour exactly. What a perfect time to peak like that.
He's improved so much this week. I don't know which is better: the confidence he's gained or the fact he's timed it in front of home support. This is such a jackpot for Japanese tennis.

Raonic won the more difficult semi so he should be favourite. Also the court is relatively fast so I expect Raonic to win.

Re: Tokyo SF: [8] Kei Nishikori crushes Marcos Baghdatis 6-2 6-2
This was definitely an uncharacteristic match for Nishi, he's a pretty slow starter in matches but once he gets going, he's a force to be reckoned with.
Although Baghdatis made Nishikori look really good on the returns, I think Nishikori's return game is definitely an underrated part of his game which is why he can handle guys like Tsonga and Berdych pretty well. But of course Raonic is a step up in serve from the aforementioned people, I really hope he brings the same A game he brought today.

I know Milos is the favorite, I just have that bad gut feeling that he will lose
I like Kei though so if he did lose then at least Kei won, and on home soil to boot

Final battle between my two favorite "youngsters" and also probably the two guys who will climb up the rankings in near future unlike Dimitrov, Tomic, etc.
