Re: Tokyo R2: Kei Nishikori Crushes Boredo 5-7, 6-1, 6-0
Nishikori is certainly more one-dimensional than he was when he first made his breakthrough but he's fundamentally a more attacking player than Robredo has been over the years

Re: Tokyo R2: Kei Nishikori Crushes Boredo 5-7, 6-1, 6-0
good for the game that boredo got humiliated in the last couple of sets
unbelievable that this vulturing pusher was in the top 5 once
hopefully nishikori can beat berdych next. berdych isn't playing federer, so he won't play proper tennis

especially as his scores showed that he had to struggle a lot against players he used to beat easily.
His come-back in challengers started very well actually, but since a little bit more than one month, he seems to have played less well and needed to struggle against low-ranked opponents.
His score here in first round was encouraging though.
Still haven't had any answer to my question : does anyone know what happened to him in last two sets ?

Re: Tokyo R2: Kei Nishikori Crushes Boredo 5-7, 6-1, 6-0
riiight Tommy Robredo is a clown...but Berlocq is a hero?
Berlocq is a dumbed down version of Robredo. Let's call him Robredo light. I agree that top 5 was too much for Tommy, but he is a decent all round player, whose ranking plummeted when he got injured. I didn't expect to ever see him back on tour. Kudos that he did, and did quite well even.
Losing to Nishikori in 3 is no shame.
