What about Lendl's slams? Beckers? McEnroes?

Leave the guy alone. He's funny, shouldn't be taken seriously.

A FedFan who doesn't like Murray is telling him Murray won a slam, while he keeps going about Nadal not being in the competition. Sore loser.

You are saying that for a slam win to count Nadal has to be present in the tournament. What is the difference between those slams and this one?

Not sure I can make sense of the bit in bold...What is he trying to say?

Is there a rather tortured implication that any major without one player competing in it is somehow not as important, that it suddenly becomes a "masters" event?

If so...

Would ANY major before 2005 be devalued because this one player wasn't competing in it? Before 1986 would they be devalued even further (maybe to ATP 500 tournament status) because he didn't exist yet?

Semi is still possible as it was in Paris last year, for example.

Since Federer went back to number 1 and Murray won a Slam, maybe you should remove the third prediction.

People betting on a match, or on an event (in this case Murray winning a slam in his career) also lose (money, prestige). Since he predicted/claimed that Murray will never win a slam, and Murray won that said slam, he lost, his prediction was wrong. Do I need to bring a dictionary ?

And for FFS, the Nadal not in the competition excuse...

Also, this thread has gone offtopic, so back to Shanghai please...
