Veic def. RRH 7-5 3-6 6-2
Ruben picked up an injury at the end of the match. Bad serving, mediocre returning, too many errors blew his chances of winning.

Re: Week 42 : Rio De Janeiro (Entry List)
These courts seem really spongey and hard to hit through. Especially the center court.

Clezar def. Kirche 3-6 6-3 7-5
Served for the match once, failed to close it out but held on his second attempt. A lot cleaner tennis than usual for Clezar.

Didn't you just say he was an error machine today, he's also been playing quite well of late.

Clezar is improving and improved today as the match went onward. But yes, often, Clezar loses matches by making an avalanche of errors.

Well, he's still young, so there's time to fix the errors, could be a nice player in the future.

Re: Week 42 : Rio De Janeiro (Entry List)
I hope Ungur will go far here even though his half is extremely difficult with players like De Bakker, Sousa, Reister, Greul or Gil (who even though he's in an awful shape always is a difficult opponent at least on the challenger level on clay). The other half would've been much easier IMO

True, he's still developing. Time is on his side and the weapons are there.

As you said, Gil is in awful form, but even when he is in the zone, challengers aren't where is use to shine. He save the good moments for the ATP's. If you look into some of his best perfomances in his career, you would think that Fred would have a better challenger record, but actually the record he as in this tour, it's pretty mediocre...
Moving on, glad to see João back to winning days, even though it was more than expected. Clezar will be his first real test, as a top100 player he is now. VAMOS LÁ JOÃO!

Still, a win is a win, esp. if you are on a losing streak, time to follow it up with Clezar and prove he's worth the top 100 though.
