you are right I remember his 3 wins in Newport so I didn't think he could have only those 3 wins in his entire career

Baker's funny, so many guys his level only show up for the MMs and disappear in the GSs, he's the opposite a GS moster but an MM mouse.

It's totally crazy. Maybe this win signals another surprise semi-final. But he kind of lucked out in Newport: Haas ret. and then 18 year old Kudla in the quarters. I became more aware of him through his lengthy history with Tomic.

Baker's not very good, however I am slightly surprised Yani got through him.

Baker sucks as usual...Reality will set in next year between May and July...This dude is simply not Top 100 level at all...Losing to Yani ..What a muggy ass performance...Baker hasn't done shit since Wimbledon

Well, this is sad.
He had a poor start to the HC season, but I hoped he just needs to accomodate to it. Now it seems it wasn't the case, but can't really figure out what it is, as he's certainly good enough to compete at this level.

Baker is the anti-vulture, only peaks for big events. Dude needs to vulture more often, get wins like this in 250's to get the confidence and ranking up.

Yani's been around so long and fights so hard. He deserves some more tour-level wins before he hangs his racket up.

Too many practice beatdowns from rampras has probably shattered brian's confidence. If you can't rally with the great one, you're not going anywhere.

Not quite so, he got to the final of Nice. He didn't really shop up for the USO either.
