I actually know him. Would be great if he can manage to sneak into the MD... all he needs to win is ONE match in qualies.

Re: Qualifying Draw
does Karosi get points for that if he loses his 3rd round match that's going on? You don't get points for beating a Bye, but technically the draw says a Walkover which you would get points for

I know, but usually when you get a walkover it's in the 2nd or 3rd or etc round and you've already beaten someone yourself. In this case he didn't, he got a Bye, and then a walkover.
But in other qualifying draws that I've seen where the top seed gets moved into the main draw they remove his name from the qualifying draw and replace it with a bye. So in that case it's Bye, Bye, loss, and no points, but they didn't do that in this case.
I didn't answer my own question, I made a statement about what it's normally like with a withdrawal but this is not a normal withdrawal, even though that's what the draw sheet says.

Right, ok.
The only reason he got a bye was because not enough players signed up for the draw, so it's not the same as a normal MD bye anyway, of course he gets the PTS, it works the same as if he got a w/o in a main draw I think.
How do you know they did not do that in this case, you won't know until the rankings are updated if he got the PTS.

I know they did not do thius because it says Vasek Pospisil gave him a walkover in the draw
And, someone replied to my question in GM saying that he doesn't get the points, so I would like to know how you are so sure that he does

I know he got a walkover, that's not what I was talking about.
I have no idea how you got the idea that I'm so sure he will get PTS, that's not what I said either.

Re: Qualifying Draw
Well you said and I quote "of course he gets the points" that was a pretty good induction to me that you're pretty sure he gets the points
You also said I answered my own question earlier, I said normally you get the points for a walkover, and he got a walkover, a comment like that would also make me believe the you think he gets the points.
And about the other comment, you said how do you know they didn't do that here, I guess u were referring to what I said about the player being removed from the draw and the other play been given bye bye and no points, I know they didn't do thy because te draw says by walkover, that's what I meant
