Always sucks when a talented player can't stay fit enough to compete. Hopefully it's a precaution.

Karlovic is always awkward, and Andy won't get the rallies he'd like to have to get into his groove for the rest of the tournament. But a good test to see how sharp his return is after the long break. Should be fun

I didn't want Monfils, but I don't want Karlovic either--I'm not easy to please when it comes to Andy's draws

Karlovic sucks big time, these days. He lost to one of my favourites, Chiudinelli, who is also way past it.

How about Lacko in the 2nd round for some pleasing? Doesn't get more comfortable than that on paper.

Andy received a bye into the next round. He will play Lacko on Wednesday.

This is really weird.

There are now 2 conflicting stories:
- he's playing Karlovic tomorrow
- he's playing Lacko Wednesday.

Can't access the Tokyo website in English but even in Japanese you can see Centre Court match 3 is GBR v FRA. ATP still shows Monfils.
BBC and ESPN show Lacko on Wednesday but it's odd there's no other official information.

Byeray strikes again. He had one in SF and R4 of Mehami, and R3 Canada?

I think BBC and ESPN are more reliable than that L'Equipe Twitter account. Maybe someone confused LL for Lukas Lacko with Lucky Loser?

Monfils must have watched highlights of Murray at USO and legged it, then (un)lucky loser looked down on the challenge in front of him and said hell no.. wouldn't be surprised if Lacko fakes a blocked nose and withdraws too.

Might as well just look forward to the Wawrinka match

Wawrinka might remember the Olympics beatdown and withdraw as well.

I would love Andy to set the record straight against Berdych. Next up, Djokovic.

Lacko might as well have been a no show. Really need a stream, before I start suffering from Muzz withdrawal symptoms.

Stan has been decent lately, first of many tests for Andy during the Asian swing. Won't be the only Swiss he takes down over the next few months methinks.
