Seriously , after such a season going back to South America and playing the Ch in Argentina, Uruguay etc. seemed like the best option by far! He would've had a great shot at winning more than 1 of those. Posted in a thread in GM addressing his terrible scheduling but he keeps surprising me with these decisions.

I think he wants to be more than a clay specialist but he needs to commit himself to making the top 100. He needs to grow up and start putting things together.

Filip fell away badly at the end. Brezac was very up and down but his aggressiveness payed off for him.

I agree, he used to play a lot more in the South American clay Challengers and maybe it's like he doesn't want to go 'back to that stage' and wants to move forward, test himself constantly in Europe and play in different surfaces. It's not a terrible choice but at this point in his career and considering his results along the year, certainly not the most wise. Needs to focus in getting his ranking up and make top 100, that was his main goal at the start of the season. Look at Rufin who is similar in age, playing Quito last week, now in San Juan and earlier in the year he also travelled to play Salinas and a few more. A stage in your career were you have to priorize the points IMO
