He won a ton of them in 2011, actually. 2012 has been a bit of a difference in that area (although that can partially be explained by how good Federer is in big moments...winning three of them over him). |

Yeah back in 2011 he had nothing to lose. He's succumbing to pressure this year more than usual.

He's still learning mentally. When he burst through start of 2011, he seemed fully formed in that regard, a total natural. Utterly unflappable.
Perhaps that was just a beginner's lack of fear on the big stage.
