Last 5 Years: 5 Different US Open Winners!
08: Federer
09: Del Potro
10: Nadal
11: Djokovic
12: Murray
Find this kind of astonishing.
First time something like this has happened at a slam in quite some time!

Not just that, those 5 are at the same time the winners and the finalists

It kind of makes sense its a long season - fatigue and injuries can play a part with 1 or 2 of the top guys, the surface is neutral - dosent favor any particular gamestyle - gives more guys a shot.
Tsonga/Berdych could continue this trend going into 2013.

Re: Last 5 Years: 5 Different US Open Winners!
It's simple: USO scheduling screwed over many players, which weren't favored by USTA. (except during Olderer's 'reign' where USTA arranged perfect schedule for the old man every time
)
