Heartfelt congratulations to Andy Murray on winning his first grand slam singles title and also to Novak Djokovic for his gutty effort down 2 sets to love today and taking it to a fifth set. Both players played their hearts out under brutal win conditions. It seems like the wind gets worse every year at the U.S. Open.
Murray has gotten his first slam and now I wonder how many he can win.
People in Great Britain must be thrilled. Their long 76 year long wait is over thanks to Murray.
It takes terrible tennis + wind + lack of rest + bleeding on both legs (knees) from Djokovic for Murray to win a slam in 5 sets.
From a compassionate point of view, Murray needed the win more than Novak: a 5th slam final loss especially after a 2 set lead would have destroyed Murray mentally.
Hope Novak, Rafa, Murray share slams from now on. Anyone but Federer is fine with me.
Same sentiment with you buddy. Anyone but Federer...

I TALKED TO JIM IN MY DREAM AND HE APPROVED IT EVEN IF HE HAS NO RELATION TO TENNIS.... BECAUSE HE'S WAY TOO COOL THAT'S WHY...
Congrats to Murray and his fans. I didn't enjoy the match so much, yeah we saw some drama ... there were some great points but also so much pushing from both players. just crazy. Djokovic played a really bad match. no excuses tho. he should've known better.
anyway, great win for Muzza. Finally he got it, so people here can't make fun of him any more (or I hope so). Nole missed his chances in the first set, but hey, life goes on. I bet Brits (or shall I say Scots) are probably going wild, lol.
Those bashing Nole can fuck off as well. 5 time slam champ, fought hard in the third and fourth, ran out of gas in the 5th but he remains the best hard court player on the tour and will be the favourite again come AO time. Nole
Only 5 points between them, that's not many over 5 sets. Well done to Murray, he played better on the day and that's all that counts. The match wasn't a great one - same as the Aust Open final....long and a lot of grinding.
