Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra
Kyrgios is very good at doubles! Two junior Grand Slams and now this. All on different surfaces too.

You should tell Nick to play with Alex more often, Bolty played with some other good players in Ben Mitchell and Andrew Whittington in the last two aussie challengers and lost first round in both, these two seemed to dominate the draw without dropping a set.

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra
Draws Klein again (1st round West Lakes, 1st round F1 doubles).

Hopefully he can make it three from three and take Klein's 2nd seed place in the draw.

Correct. The two tournaments in brackets were the other two times Kyrgios (and partner in Melbourne) beat Klein this month.

Nick is first player from 1995 generation who won Challenger match, and of course who made 1/4 or 1/2.. no players from 1994 generation made Challenger final but Tiago Fernandes (BRA, 1993) done it in 2011 at the age of 18 years and 2 months, and in 2012. Suk-Young Jeong (KOR, 1993) made Challenger final at older age
It will be battle between Nick and Edmund for title of best player born in 1995 this season, lets all hope Nick comes atop in December

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra
Thanks TennisOnWood.
Kyrgios is giving doubles a miss this week. The right move in my opinion, he proved himself with a doubles title last week and doesn't want to overplay.

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra
As you said Joel, he can become hell of a double player, but in this stupid age of big physical requirements he must wisely choose every tournament he will play in the next few years. I really don't want to see another big talent ripped apart with injuries
Lets hope for some new achievemnts, like first player from his generation with ATP win, this kid can be great player

Australia F2 Mildura Round One: Brydan Klein [2] d. Nick Kyrgios 7-6(2) 6-4
Rest up Kyrgios, it's been an excellent start to the year.

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra
Klein grew up on grass so would be expected to win the Kyrgios match. Surprised Klein lost to Boltie on the cow-food stuff...

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra
Draws Klein again in the first round of the 50 k Olympic Park challenger this week. Be interesting to see if he can turn the result around on the hard court. I expect he will.

Yeah, the stats tell it all. He served unreal today, picked his spots awesomely and was just cranking them down. 90% of points won when his first serve went in today. Great bounce back from Nick, I think he just needed a bit of a rest - mentally.
