Obviously if it becomes a regular problem, then that wouldn't be possible. It's just that it's nice to be cut some slack, occasionally. I think part of growing up is becoming independent from parents, and if they know about your every move, it's not truly a achievable.

That's what college is for here Fortunately my guys have never skipped. There is actually an award for a kid who has never missed a day in High School here. Anyway hello and bye -need to clean the house Then another HS musical performance. Hope Spain doubles pull this out today.

But sometimes there are children who are going down the wrong path as teen-agers and part of that is skipping school. Maybe that's even one of the earliest indicators. So, a parent has to be aware.
Also when I was a child, the worst thing I could do was drink a beer or something like that. Now kids in school can get any kind of drug they want. I think as a parent, you don't want to be trusting and lenient with your child only to find that he's overdosed on heroin. I know that's an extreme example, but it happens. I guess since I've worked in the juvenile court system, I've seen decent parents come in with their kids to court bewildered by what's gone wrong.

Exactly. Parents always know more than we believe them to, or that certainly is the case with me. And they are too interested in what I get up to. My mother is always asking me questions about what I do, I seldom answer them. One day that might be me with my children, if I have them.

I very rarely skip, but sometimes I'm just not in the right frame of mind to go. If it's ever like this, I would ask my mum if I can just skip school for the day.
I got into quite a bit of trouble in my early days in high school, because of deceitful things like that, so ever since I've stopped skipping and tried to be as honest as possible with everyone. Sometimes I can't, but I try as hard as I can.

I always ask my boy what he does, how is school, etc. I never press. I guess your mother too. That's my way of letting my boy knows the communication channel is open and he can talk to me if he wants to.

Still weak from blood loss and in shock from loss of limb.
I'm fine. I just cut my finger on a piece of glass i was putting in the trash -- It was the fold behind the knuckle so it didn't want to stop bleeding.
