You still count the 6-4 set as correct even though my opponent put 6-4 for the third set and there was no third set? That doesnt seem right...I went through all the example scenarios and I did not find one that was exactly like ours in this case.

1) Correct scoreline: when you give the exact right score for a/the player/players in a match.
The correct scoreline just has to be the exact score of one the sets that happens at some point in the match. It doesn't matter which set you put that score in for just weather or not that score matches one in the match. |

Yes...if he put 6-4 for the first and/or second set I would understand but it was for the third set that does not exist. It seems silly to count a scoreline for a set that was never played.
PTS is flawed in a number of ways.

PTS is set up in a way to look at score line for the player not for the set.
If you have issues with how PTS is set up please bring them up when suggestions for rule changes come up for the next year. |

I know...I've had issues with PTS for years. Game difference is a much more fair manner on which to judge the skill of tipping. I'd rather lose on ranking than on PTS. To me, it just does not make sense to have a tip of a set that never took place decide an outcome. Set scores are too ambiguous.
