Re: Most Powerful Hitter: Berdych or Del Porto?
Delpo hits lazors when he gets the right rhythm and the right ball to hit. Berdych generates pace easier.

Re: Most Powerful Hitter: Berdych or Del Porto?
I remember when Federer lost to Soderling at the French. They asked him if anyone's ever hit the ball that hard against him. He responded with "Del Potro. You all have forgotten about him because he's injured."
Of course, he later would lose to Berdych because of some phenomenally big hitting as well.
For my part, I have never seen someone make big hitting look as effortless as Berdych does. He looks like he can make the ball fly off his racquet with the utmost ease, and off of just about any ball, really. He gunned one in the Fed match last night when he was almost to his knees (off of a slide, I think).
Del Potro, as he showed in this match tonight, can really fire off a big ball when he steps into the court. Like others, though, I think he's more confined in terms of when he's able to do so, which is perhaps courtesy of his Eastern forehand.
All in all, in terms of consistency, I might give the edge to Berdych.

tbird's stroke is shorter than delpo's, so i would assume it is tomash.

Re: Most Powerful Hitter: Berdych or Del Porto?
Delpo may hit harder but the he bashes the crap out of the ball every time he hits a fh.
Berdych on the other hand able to generate tremendous power so effortlessly as if he's not even trying

Clearly Berdych, he seems effortless when making Big Shots, his fluidity is almost amazing, probably the best on professional level.

Berdie for fluidity but Del Po is the bigger hitter. The guy is massive off the FH wing.

The FH is just one shot, Delpo's backhand generates no special power and he cant generate power on the return because of bad reaction time, Berdych overall more consistently generates power than Delpo and he is closer to the baseline so the ball comes back faster.

FH is just one of the two rallying shots in tennis, yeah . Taking into account other factors. Del Po has the superior power.

Dont forget the serve aswell.
If you cant generate pace on return, your opponent will get in command and rally mostly to your backhand.
On your serve your opponent might just slice returns to your backhand like Federer does alot to Delpo (and not to Berdych).
Tsonga, Delpo got similar weak backhands and weak returns that make their game look less powerful. Against Berdych at full flight there is no where to go.
