murray hates louis armstrong since it isn't blue clay like arthur ashe
he should be bloody grateful he isn't playing against sampras or rafter in a us open final in the 90s

What is more pathetic? Mandy getting cakewalk draws every slam (Mugrin in QF  ) or the fact that he is 0-4 in slam finals? I mean he managed to reach RG SF in 2011 before Nadal taught him a clay tennis lesson. Even with the most rigged draws he can't win a slam

True, that's the only positive. Marin can produce good enough tennis to beat anyone, but we knew that already. That only makes monumental chokes like today's hurt even more if you're a fan though 
I'm sure no one feels worse about this than Marin himself, but hope he can keep himself together and keep working to improve his game and his mentality on big matches. That's all he can do after all. His problems have very little to do with his game and everything to do with what's between his ears. |

This monumental choke from Cilic should end any talk of this being a strong era. 13th ranked player in the world with an above average serve can't hold two break lead is a disgrace. What a mug choker era this is.

Classic 2nd set. Match was over once Murray got used to the court but Cilic did come out firing.

Thats the way im trying to think too, but its hard man, its just hard.
At 5:1 he should have been so full of confidence, and yet he starts acting like a 13yr old girl. Not to mention that in the last 2 sets he looked like he was just about to start crying. I mean, if you're so sensitive when you're 24, things are not likely to pick up. But one can hope... |

He hates clay even worse than Armstrong though.
Australia, this year's Ashe, and Wimbledon seem like his perfect speeds. Slower but not too slow. |

He played two of his best ever sets on it four years ago against Nadal. It depends on the opponent. Against him or Nole he will like it fast. Against big hitters like Marin, then slower conditions are his preference.

i think his proper game (i.e slices, variety, big serve when it goes in) is more suited to grass than hard courts
murray is useless on clay, can't even win a 250 on it |
