US Open R3 : Ferrer def. Hewitt 7-6 (9) 4-6 6-3 6-0
So-called world number 5 needs 4 sets to beat a washed up 31 year-old
Anyway, The Vulture's run will probably come to an end in the next round
Shotmakers like Gasquet or Johnson will take care of him

Why do people make results threads for players they dislike?
Great job, David, keep going

Are you out of your mind or do you just play like that here on MTF? This Hewitt also took a set off of Djokovic in Australia. What a joke you are

Ferrer shows Hewitt who the real best retriever of all time is.

this "washed up" hewitt also has taken sets off djokovic this year
sad to see the match and with a bagel. Lleyton really should have gone up 2-0 in sets

Typical Hewitt scoreline. After a 6-7(9) and a 6-4 in the first two sets, you get bageled in the fourth

Re: US Open R3 : Ferrer def. Hewitt 7-6 (9) 4-6 6-3 6-0
Ferrer was merciless. It`s a pity Lleyton didn`t take 1st set, but now I think it would be Davydenko - Fish, ver. 2 and loss from 2-0 for Hewitt.
Great match from David after 1st set (in 2d he played better, IMO), he will eat Richie alive.

Yea, this young gun David Ferrer is so bad, needed 4 sets to dispatch the old guy.

Re: US Open R3 : Ferrer def. Hewitt 7-6 (9) 4-6 6-3 6-0
The bagel in the fourth set is misleading. Hewitt really played good tennis, and although he's almost the same age as Ferrer, he tired first.
