I am a Westbrook fan but a variety of things that happened in the playoffs last year blew my mind and apparently Scott Brooks and Sam Presti didn't do anything to change it.
- Incredible that they allow Westbrook to take such terrible shots. Forget the quality of the shots he takes, but the simple fact that you have the best scorer on the planet on your team, Kevin Durant, and Russ Westbrook takes more shot attempts than him is mind blowing.
- Trading Harden away. There were numerous occasions last year before (and even after) they re-upped Westbrook where I thought they would deal the former Bruin and let Harden run the show. I think they would be deadliest with Harden running the pick and pop with Durant and with the bearded one's ability to get to the cup along with his intelligent shot selection I think they would have been unstoppable.
Instead they kept the ball in Harden's hands way too long. They got past the Spurs last year due to exceptional talent but paid the price of Russ taking too many shots in the finals. No wa Oak City loses to the Spurs last night if its Durant taking all those shots in the 4th quarter instead of Westbrook.
