You are getting me wrong. I am not saying Simon was not injured. But he is not a Roddick server. Yes. With his serve, he would have won this... no doubt. But it's because Mardy is a disgrace. Having said that, I thought he was still pushing like the pusher he is. Yes. His serve was not there but he did frustrate Fish and could have won it had he won the 3rd set tie-breaker.
Mardy Fish is a more dangerous player than Simon. But he does not have the brain of Simon. Hope this clarifies it  |

It appears that Carlos Ramos has become a mediocre umpire, lacking the bravery to make calls of his own anymore because of the machine. It was Mardy's fault for being distracted that long, but this is the 2nd time I saw in the tournament where Ramos severely impacted the winner of the set. First one was the Malisse/Isner fiasco. It's time for this clown to leave the sport, as his stupid smiles after making serious mistakes are unbearable.

It was a horrible match. Fish made so many errors, and Simon.  I can't believe he was talking about match quality.
Anyways, glad the pushers gone. Mardy you better play better next round.

fish is so incredibly lucky
if either one of davy or gillou had a serve fish would have been out of this tournament already
the guy barely beat davy without a serve and an injured simon, he'll get smeared by federer

Holy shit this was an awful match. Words really cannot describe how bad it was. Still it was strangely compelling if only to see if Fish could actually lose against a guy who couldn't serve and wasn't moving at his best. That it was a set all and in a tiebreak is a massive indictment of Fish.
