Fed: Doubles didn't help me at Olympics
This is hilarious. A tennis magazine account tweeted that Fed said this time around the doubles at Olympics didn't help his singles "unfortunately". Wawrinka retweeted that!!

I'm no Fakervic fan but he needs to save tennis, sadly tree trunk legs will be fresh. Interesting he's never questioned...

Seriously? They lost in R2, it's NID that it didn't help his singles play as 2008 did by giving him confidence for the USO.

Poor Stan. He stoically takes whatever snide-eye Roger throws his way.

I don't actually understand the comment.
In 2008 he lost before the medal rounds in singles; here he got a silver.

Re: Fed: Doubles didn't help me at Olympics
Yeah maybe it didn't help him but why did Federer think he must say it ? So people can blame his failure on Wawrinka or what? And how did it help in Beijing btw?

No doubt hideously out of context.

Re: Fed: Doubles didn't help me at Olympics
I don't get it. If it's about them winning in 2008 giving him confidence for USO then I fail to see what's funny about it.

It probably is. What's funny is not whether Fed said it or not - we'll get the transcript soon enough - but that Stan retweeted it! Poor Stan - anything Rog says goes.
