Re: US Open R3 : Federer routines Verdasco 6-3 6-4 6-4
Fed did what he needed to do today. It's nothing more complicated then that. Got the job done in just over 2 hours, saved the body, it's all he cares about at this point. On to the next round. Murray wasn't so lucky.

All straight sets wins in the first week. It's good cause he won't have it that easy from now on.

Once upon a time there was a myth about strong and weak eras. On this glorious day the clownery was eventually unmasked: 30 y.o. past-prime daddy Fed became #1 once again in the supposed strong "Spartan" era with his rivals at their peak.
And they all lived happily ever after.
Long live King Federer!
17 Grand Slam titles 7 Wimbledon titles 302 weeks at #1 Legend

'Federer almost looks bored out there,' the American commentator remarked at one point.
Fed could have triple bagelled this horror show Verdasco but couldn't be bothered paying attention - he was just as bored playing this match as I was watching it.

He wanted to give the fans something to watch. He's just generous like that.
